Lights in apartment blocks in St Samson's court and Square

Postby gqma0 » Wed Jan 23, 2013 4:44 pm

All,

Just to let you know that myself and Tom took on the responsibility to look after the lights in the estate (apart from the street lights).

I've changed 8 lights in apartment block 1-9 the square and went for a round check of some apartment blocks where more lights are to be changed. We'll do it in our spare time whenever we can but please, drop us a PM or reply to let us know how many lights in your block are faulty and we'll change them

In final, we are not charging labor to do that and we're getting the parts from a local electrical supplier at 1/2 the price what the electrical contractor used to charge + we get a discount either buying in bulk or through another local resident's contact.

We're doing it in the interest of all residents to reduce the management fees cost. You can call it a random act of kindness

We changed 18 lights yesterday in 3 other apartment blocks. Some lights have faulty ballasts that will need to be changed, so they haven't been changed. We noticed that some apartment access are through an internal door that has a lock on it, so we were unable to change the bulbs in them.

All lights in all apartment blocks should now be fixed.
