Pot holes and excess water

Postby newmews » Thu Aug 16, 2007 11:28 am

For the past few weeks i have noticed that there is a build
up of excess water at the entrance to Belmayne (just beside the
blue portacabin on the first right turn), the road itself is
finished off poorly and i can only see it getting worse..

I asked one of the builders working in Belmayne/LM
and he stated that it wasnt their problem as that part of
Belamyne is actually owned by Shannon Homes.. Im just
wondering has this issue been flagged and have they any
plans to come back and finish the roads properly??

As far as I know this entrance is just temporary.

I raised the issue of the road surface and the lack of car parking space markings with the Property Manager - apparently the developers are to begin work at the end of August on this.

on that note I was told by the property manager that the development had been handed over to L&M to finish and was not the responsibility of Shannon Homes, not sure how they can do that though as our contracts are with Shannon to finish the estate!

Will believe it when I see it that the roads will be finished in August, there is only a week or so left and they will have to give people notice unless they are going to tarmac around parked cars :D :D :D mind you stranger things have happened!

I noticed yesterday evening that there was a large build up of
water at the above mentioned entrance. This was unusual as
the evening was dry there seemed to be a constant stream of
water going from the blue shed on to the main road..

Has anyone else noticed this?

yes, I subsequently raised it with the Property Mgr and said that it was a hazard to both vehicles and pedestrians. I was practically soaked there the other day as a car drove straight through the water as I was crossing the road. Property Mgr has raised with the developer and has seen it for himself. We'll "wait and see"
