Hi all

A big thank you all from the Sean Kenny team for giving him the mandate to represent Dublin North East. We knew that Sean would not receive enough No 1 votes and would depend on transfers.
Our strategy all along was to say Sean would be fighting the last seat with Larry O'Toole of SF.
We were especially keen to ask for ''Number 2's'' from FF supporters.
We could never predict the transfers from Mr Blaney but, are very grateful for his good showing and his transfers when they came.
Averil Power transfers proved crucial in the end and brought Sean easily ahead of SF.
We read it pretty well but, better vote management internally within Labour would have certainly helped us.
However, the end is what matters and Sean is now a TD.

Again, many thanks from all the Kenny team to people who voted in whatever sequence.
every vote mattered in the end.
I worked my way up from nothing to a state of extreme poverty

Great to have someone in the Dail who will lobby for the Northern Fringe.
