Re: House boarded up

Hi Does anyone know why a corner house at the green is completely boarded up from the inside. I have heard rumours that the house is been tested for pyrite and another that the plaster board has been stripped to check for fire insulation. Anyone know what's really going on. The house belongs to a f...

Re: Antisocial behaviour of residents Belm Pk South

Am I missing something cos it seems like only the name of the road has been mentioned? How does that identify anyone? Sure anyone effected by the noise will know who it was anyway. Hi Nell, Because we've read the post late, we've only seen ringpirce's reply which implies personal details were on th...

Re: Churchwell Drive - Mice - eugh!

definitely field mice and at the period of the year, they're looking for shelters. We had some when we moved as we had gaps behind the sink where they hadn't covered the plasterboard but they actually accessed through the main door. Mouse traps and a tiny slice of cheddar will do the trick but you m...

Re: Antisocial behaviour of residents Belm Pk South

I haven't time to read all the threads but if residents aren't happy about noise level, they should address it directly with their neighbour in a diplomatic way. If this doesn't work out, then involve Garda, the management company and contact the residents committee to express your concern. We will ...

Re: Electric Pump for Showers not working

One more thing. The Guy who fixed it for me says that the PCB comes with the capacitor and if you're replacing the PCB you should replace the capacitor as it's sold as one unit as such. Obviously, being a Girl, I could be told anything that suits so you can disregard this info if you don't think it...

Re: Electric Pump for Showers not working

Thanks! I had to get the PCB and capacitor replaced. Apparently the pump being connected to the appliances is the issue. The pumps were not designed for that but they were connected that way for simplicity. Hope this helps. Hi AshM, would you mind sharing the cost of the overall repair with others ...

Re: Possible Leak

It could be coming from the overflow tank. There's a valve in the hotpress to raise the pressure and it should be around 2 to 2.5 bars but the valve should be stopped. If left open, it would overflow the tank and it would spill outside. Not a plumber but someone qualified would confirm this.

Re: Fire safety in Belmayne

All, I'm not a resident of Belmayne but I just want to express my opinion. This is a very sensitive subject. - The fact is that Building control regulations rely on self-certification which means no qualified fire officer is required to scrutinise the plans and keep an eye on the progress. I wouldn'...

Re: lights in Saint Samsons Court Communal Area

And it's because lots of residents don't pay their fees that the lights remain broken. KPM is well aware of the situation on the lights but because of the amount of debtors in the estate, the cost of repairing the lights is too high. There's the issue of vandalism that needs to be addressed too and ...

Listen for any humming noise from the pump. It could be the capacitor. Easy to replace.

Hi Tomf,

Check this out.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2109&p=10885&hilit=pump#p10885

It's either the capacitor (I have spare ones) or the PCB (costs around €45)

cheers

Re: Burglaries

Hi all, where are these break-ins happening does anyone know? As in, what roads? Hi Dilemma, it happened in St Samson's court, Belmayne and they've also targetted houses in Castlemoyne. They seem to proceed the same way by bumping the lock. I believe they target houses that aren't facing any other ...

Re: Burglaries

I would also strongly recommend to fit a 2nd lock on the top of the door + I fitted a door chain inside for extra security.
