depending on where the tank is located it might be hooked into your toilet system also, it should only be on the line for the showers but if it is installed incorrectly it may mean that your toilet refil line is getting high powered water to refil it in record time!

I imagine a dish on the rear of your own house shouldnt be a problem as you do own the entire house and garden, obviously this is different for apartments, the people behind us I think have cleverly avoided this rule by erecting the dish on a plank of wood attached to the rear fence! good idea I say!
