Re: I'm back with Magnet Networks

Hi Gaetan,

The new magnetwebtv.ie site is completely separate from the old pctv product that was offered. You'll need to re-register using the register button on the front page.

Re: I'm back with Magnet Networks

Is there an app? I'm watching through the browser, five channels, no mtv though. Having all subscribed channels available would certainly be an encouragement to go back to magnet for tv. Could available channels be based on your tv package? FYI working with chrome on Ubuntu 10.10. How about android...

Re: I'm back with Magnet Networks

Installed the app and tested it last Friday. For some reason, it couldn't broadcast the channels in the afternoon but it worked later on in the evening. Also, any plans to extend the applications to receive the package channels ? It's only the national channels (+ MTV which didn't work for me). The...

Re: I'm back with Magnet Networks

Hi Guys, Glad to hear you are happy with Magnet. Had similar problems myself with UPC and had to switch back. For those of you are broadband customers, you can also get the 5 Irish TV channels free of charge to your web browser. It's at m if you are interested. Big Disclaimer Time, I run the company...

Re: Castlemoyne and St Samsons AGM

Hi Rachel, It's good to see that the RC have been active on this in the background. I read the accounts and saw the only concern was that expenditure exceeded revenue and we should consider increasing the fees. I looked at the service charges owing and was surprised it would more than cover the defi...

Re: Ethernet Cabling

Hi Guys, not sure if anyone can help me with this. I was wondering can we use the magnet cabling that is in the house as a network? Basically can I have a network hardrive on one end and access it from any of the points in the house? Does this mean that the hardrive would need to go in the central ...

I'd be on for a kick around alright, if a middlin' football player would be ok. If we were able to get 10 we could enrol in the astro league, should be one starting in the autumn.

But as you said, it's lookin' very quiet!

I think you could be right. I did'nt get a chance to, but i will check my speeds tonight. Just one question on changing over.. I have cat 5 points in every room.. will UPC but points where I need them or will they just take the easy approach and throw a cable up a outside wall? Shouldn't be too dif...

Folks, Just a few points as an FYI, and note that I'm far from an advocate of KPM or any management company when I post this, it's just a few clarifications: * When we all moved into Castlemoyne and St. Samsons, we signed legal contracts that said we'd be having a management company, we signed a mas...

Hi There, Could I suggest to the residents committee that not everybody in St. Samsons / Castlemoyne would read these boards. Plus, I personally don't know who's on the residents committee that I can talk to on these matters. It would be very useful if those of you involved were to circulate a light...

Shane, I don't want to beat up on the messenger, but the whole thing sounds very suspect to me at the moment. There's a bunch of houses that have been sold in one phase, and KPM as agents are responsible to manage them. There's a whole load of houses in phase 2 which presumably Shannon Homes are hav...

It was a little different in our house. But you have: 1. Master control, turn this on to get just hot water. 2. Downstairs rad. pump 3. Upstairs rad. pump. Now 1 has to be on, to do anything. Turn on 2 / 3 depending on where you want the heat. Personally, I'd replace the lot with a good electronic t...

Biking it

Another option if you like would be to cycle the whole way! I go from here to Ballsbridge each day and aside from East Wall Road (which you don't have to do if going to town) it really ain't all that bad. There are some mornings (this morning being one of them!) where the comfort of the car would be...
