Cemetery Masses 2011

Post by Fr. Eoin » Fri May 27, 2011 3:39 pm

For the benefit of those who are new in the area, each year Fingal County Council organises a public Mass in both Balgriffin Cemetery (left turn after Campion's pub as you head to Malahide) and the larger Fingal Cemetery (opposite St. Samsons estate). This year Fingal Co. Council have changed the dates from what went before in previous years. The dates & times are:

Old Balgriffin Cemetery Sunday 12th June 2011 3pm
Fingal Cemetery Sunday 19th June 2011 3pm

For a full list of Masses and prayers in Fingal County Council cemeteries, please see http://www.fingalcoco.ie/Environment/BurialGrounds/. Contact numbers for Fingal County Council cemeteries are here http://www.fingalcoco.ie/Environment/BurialGrounds/UsefulNumbers/.

A list of Masses in Glasnevin Group cemeteries is published here http://www.glasnevintrust.ie/notice_board/. Contact numbers for Glasnevin Group cemeteries are here http://www.glasnevintrust.ie/contacts/.

The Fingal Cemetery Mass is particularly well attended and the Gardai put in place traffic restrictions on surrounding roads. The details of these restrictions can be found on the AA Roadwatch website nearer the time.

Residents might like to keep this in mind if you are making any plans for those dates. For more information please contact Portmarnock Parish 846 1561.

Thank you fr Eoin for the post. It does get busy. Best thing to do is just plan ur day around it. It is really only very busy from 1.00pm until about 5pm.
I worked my way up from nothing to a state of extreme poverty
