I imagine a dish on the rear of your own house shouldnt be a problem as you do own the entire house and garden, obviously this is different for apartments, the people behind us I think have cleverly avoided this rule by erecting the dish on a plank of wood attached to the rear fence! good idea I say!

I'm not too sure....If you go by the letter we recently got (althoguh directed at Belmayne not St Samsons) from the mgt company it says no-one can have a dish!!! however I have mine up 5 months now on my house at the rear so good luck getting me to remove it...

There was some discussion from the first Phase St Samsons on this and not sure what the end result was and if the managment compnay gave an answer regarding houses/apartements... maybe Gaetan can help here???

Satellite dishes

Hi Rey,

There's the thread
http://balgriffin.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=555

There hasn't been any reissuing statements of that letter and the last time I spoke with KPM, Adrian stated that Appartments were definitely not allowed to erect a dish whereas they decided that t/houses were allowed.

He was to resend a batch of letters to all residents but we haven't received anything. We had been given a 3 weeks notice and it's been over 6 weeks now since we received that letter.

You might want to clear this out with the management company before you're being asked to remove your dish. It caused havoc amongst some of the residents who had purchased Sky digital and some had HD suscriptions.

Cheers
Gaetan

Magnet are obviously giving KPM a little back-hander for every house/apartment that gets their less than average services.I wont be taking down my dish for anyone, why should we pay all this money to buy a house that we cant attach a satelite dish to ,its a joke. And if they try to enter my back garden while im not there to remove it they will be met by my very very friendly dogs(except when somebody jumps over the back fence)to escort them back out!!! Thank god for sky !!!
