Fire Alarm - quick question!

Postby Dee » Thu Feb 11, 2010 9:00 am

Hi

I am in the Shannon Homes side of Belmayne and last night my fire alarm started making a beeping sound every 30 seconds or so (all through the night!). Has this happened to anyone else and what does it mean? I didn't want to start tampering with it incase I set it off or something but it was driving me crazy trying to sleep through that!

It's probably something quite simple but if it has happened to anyone else let me know what you did to resolve it!

Hi Dee, Sounds like the batttery has gone - I know when we moved in all our fire alarms were beeping but once we replaced the batteries the beeping stopped and they worked fine.

That's great - thanks a mil. I knew it was probably something simple but just didn't want to tamper with it in the middle of the night when I didn't know what I was doing.

Thanks again!

Dee

Its not the best when they go off like that I had a few nights when it was doing that occasionally and couldn't work out which one it was then when I found out I went off to work very smug until the next night it started all over again with another one and of course only bought 1 battery!!! So good advice is to get about 3 batteries so you can be ready. Hope you have a good sleep tonight.
