Hi guys! Just wondering has anyone gone with NTL for their Digital TV and whether it is available in Belmayne yet? :D

I went with NTL for TV and broadband, the package was very good value, no connection fee and approx €10 per month for first 6 then €40 after.

The internet can be a bit slow at times but other than that I'm pretty happy.

NTL

Thanks Kim, I'd say we'll opt for NTL so, as we want to get broadband also. We have NTL in our current house and are hoping that we can just transfer to Belmayne when we move in about 3 weeks - all going well!
I've read poor reports about Magnet, so I'd prefer to stay with NTL. :)

St Samson's Square?!? so you are in the first phase? Wow that took a long time for NTL to get themselves sorted......

We only moved in a few weeks ago, I don't know when NTL first became available.

Sorry for the confusion

Yes and thats just the time it ta kes to get through them on the telephone. I suggest you go with Magnet until they come nocking on the door with some really good offers.

I'm on the Drive in the Shannon homes bit. I saw an NTL van in there today and he was working on the signal boxes

Those guys that were working on the boxes today came into my house to replace a "damaged fibre-optic cable" in the box under the stairs because I was due to be connected to Magnet this Wednesday. A half-hour later the cable snapped!!!

Now, I know absolutely nothing about these things, but apparently this is a big deal! The guy was talking about bringing in a "compressor to blow a new cable through the house"??? Does this make sense??

A friend I spoke to said they'll never be able to replace the cable and it'll have to be visible inside the house?? Does anyone know if this is correct??
