Re: Fire Safety in St Samsons

Yeah, we got the same letter and we are in the St Samsons/ Shannon Homes part of Belmayne. It appears to be only the timber frame houses that are affected. At least it looks like there is a plan in place for those affected.

Re: Wastleland In Belmayne to be Sold on

hi guys

this does'nt mean there will be social housing built. The land will be sold to this crowd.. they are a govt agency. I doubt very much if there will be any houses built any time soon http://housing.ie/about-us.8.html

Re: Digger

Hi Guys It will be well lit and should be as secure as the esiting entance. There are lights going in and it will be a proper path. In terms of antisocial behaviour i dont think it will be an issue. At first it will be fenced off, and even if they open it as a green area it is not the place teenager...

Re: Superquinn...

i think we have lots of sops around Belmayne, dont think we need another Centra. Both fresh and tesco are convenient without having the hassle of bringing more traffic and kids hanging around.

Re: Digger

Hi All I was talking to the guys working on the job, they are contractors for either shannon homes or L&M, forgot to ask which ones! Basically they are handing this land back to DCC (this was the land they were due to buy but pulled out because of the current climate). To give the land back they...

Re: Digger

Hi All Not sure what they are doing, they appeared to have leveled all the land in from of Churchwell ave. This might simply be a clean up job, because this is the area (i think) where the town centre was due to go. They can't just build an entrance there, and to be honest it makes no sense as there...

Home Network

Hi Guys Kind of a technical question, I'm sure someone knows the answer!! Is it possible to use the fibre in our house to connect two computers to one external hardrive? Basically have two computers which i would like to be able to access the same files (itunes/iphoto etc). I know i will need an ext...

Re: Archival of threads

Hi All I think this an interesting discussion, so here are my two cents! I think that archiving some old stuff makes sense. Not that everything negative should be removed, but everything that is irrelevant should be removed. If a problem has been resolved then there is no need to still have it there...

Re: Chipper/Pizzeria Coming to Belmayne

I agree, not so sure about a chipper going in as they tend to attract people after the pub, but as mentioned above we can keep an eye on it as residents and do walk abouts if needed! Hopefully the restaurant will be a good addition... i just hope that it is a proper, good quality and well priced loc...

Re: How do I bleed Radiators?

Guys You don't need any specific tool for the rads in our houses, just a flat head screwdriver... you need a fairly small one... go to the end with the screw (not the side with the big nut) and turn the screw a bit until water starts to run out... do it slowly and have something to clean up with... ...
