Re: Bathroom tiles

Just wondering did you get the shower dials sorted - I've the same problem in mine. Hi Shee, This is the part that is stuck due to limescale building up "Vado - Wax Thermostatic Cartridge". You can either replace the part or descale it which I've done twice in the past few years. Unfortun...

Re: Bathroom tiles

Hey G Great advice and many thanks - I will try it as only of mine is stuck but, thankfully at correct temp for shower - Still, I will fix it. It's stuck with limescale but if you get the wrench in position and give it a few taps with a hammer, it will eventually unscrew. Again, you need to make su...

Re: Bathroom tiles

hi ddub, I tried vice grips and an assortment of other tools.. alas, no luck.. Our plumber reckons we are better to replace the showers. Replacing the dials will only work until they go again.. :( Hi all. the dials in the shower are actually thermostatic cartridges. http://www.tapoutlet.co.uk/index...

Re: Water Problems tonight 22/10 ?

apart from the board, the capacitor is quite expensive. I mean they can get them for less than €10 and even for branded quality ones. Anyway, it's great you shared the experience and it will save money to others

Re: Lamp Posts - St Samsons Square

UPDATE: This is still being looked at by the management company. Tony (the agent) contacted ESB on the electrical contractor's request (he's the one who looks after the individual lamp posts only). ESB said that this is a matter with Fingal co. council because it's a private estate. Fingal coco told...

Re: Lamp Posts - St Samsons Square

Hi Sammies. The day after it wasn't working anymore, I reported it to the management company as the electrical contractor who's been replacing the bulbs said it was an issue beyond his control and it had to be dealt with by ESB. Tony's logged this with ESB but I noticed it's still out. I will ask hi...

Hi Dove. If you have the same pump as ours, they're meant to last up to 10yrs. My pump failed on me within the year we moved in so the developer had it replaced at a high cost but all they need is simply a service See my post here http://balgriffin.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2109&p=10885&hi...

Re: sat dish.

I was waiting for someone else to reply. I don't use the Sky communal dish as I'm on the Magnet TV. I'm not too sure about the connection but it's worth trying if you have a digibox but you have to remove the filter and add a coax coupler. foreign sat dishes are allowed as long as they're not attach...

Alan Ryan murder commemoration march tomorrow

Just to let residents know Since it's been in the news and since a truck full of barrier has been parked in front of the Fingal cemetery, I rang Garda Coolock station to inquire about the march tomorrow and asked if we'd be affected. The march is planned around 2pm, maybe before or after. If you're ...

Re: Dog in st samsons court

Its 3.50 a.m. and I'm listening to that DOG bark for the past HOUR. Obviously the owners have no problem letting it bark morning noon and night. Its not the Labrador its a terrier I think I heard the dog barking at 11.20pm last night when I took our dog out in the back garden to do her business but...
